Full Fat is looking for a driven, creative and strategic-minded Account Director with at least 4 years of relevant PR experience, to join its growing team. The Account Director’s role will be to oversee key brand accounts that the agency passionately works with within the lifestyle and f&b sectors, as well as help with securing new business.

The Account Director’s role will be to manage the agency’s relationship with key clients and provide guidance and counsel for the PR teams across those accounts. They will be a rounded PR operator who has a thorough understanding of the media and communication skills needed as well as the business skills to grow their accounts within the context and plans of the agency.

The right candidate will fully understand the role of PR in a client’s marketing mix and be able to develop strategies in line with business objectives, overseeing the execution and quality controlling all aspects of the delivery to maintain a strong partnership with the agency. They will be a trusted advisor to their clients and be able to manage challenges with precision.

Experience working with drinks brands is desired.

The right candidate will have the skills and experience to carry out all of the below responsibilities:

Skill Requirements Written Work

  • Writing materials for client that are at a high level and that may be of a highly sensitive nature, dealing with senior or board level clients – difficult biographies, trade copy, challenging emails etc

  • Having final say on the amendment and quality of press releases, internal copy for newsletters etc. produced by junior members of the team

  • Develop, structure and write creative new business proposals with minimal input from board director or managing director

  • Write key training documents for the team focusing on client management and liaison

Media Skills

  • An ability to add value to the media planning and approach process in both the new business/strategic planning stages and the on-going execution of media campaigns

  • Developed relationships with relevant journalists across B2C & B2B

  • Oversee the management and organisation of events ranging from workshops, photo calls, press conferences, training days etc. on behalf of clients and on behalf of Full Fat

  • Negotiate major media promotions and advertorials

  • Alert clients to PR risk or opportunities presented by broader areas of corporate responsibility e.g. employment practices, major trends that pose a risk to their campaign, comment pieces that may effect their reputation

  • Select and develop sponsorships including planning, contractual agreements and activity organisation

  • Give high-level advice on strategic issues and media handling issues including crisis management


  • To provide a senior and qualified presence meetings, and to lead these at the appropriate client level

  • To take on the lead on a number of new business meetings, pitching, following up and briefing the team to ensure smooth delivery

  • Taking the major role in presenting to existing clients

Business Skills

  • Have a full understanding of all budgeting procedures and have complete financial control on all clients, projects etc

  • Use relevant business knowledge to ‘add value’ to client campaigns, up-selling and training Account Managers to do this

  • Understand the company business, its competitors, internal relationships etc

  • Play a big role in the growth of the business and its systems, organisation; whilst understanding the rate of growth within the agency

  • Represent your company at industry forums, conferences and seminars

  • Ability to effectively line manage junior members of the team, helping them to achieve their goals and guiding them in a manor that benefits them and the company in equal parts

  • Account Manage high level clients, ensuring campaigns are delivered to the Full Fat standard

New Business

  • Deliver a new pipeline of new business to an agreed value

  • Take ownership of these new business meetings and process with help and guidance from the wider senior team

  • Take responsibility of incentivising and encouraging the wider team, getting them invested in the client


  • It is important the Account Director is sufficiently informed and personally involved, they are the face of the agency for the future

  • It is important to adhere to agency policies and procedures and ensure the wider team are doing this

  • Provides leadership / motivation and conveys the vision and values of the agency to all staff
